Introduction to Early childhood Education & Care is an entry level awarded Certificate, endorsed by CACHE, which introduces learners to health and safety, nutrition and health practices, protection and an introduction into the principles of child development.
The Level 1 Award in Caring for Children encourages an understanding of the knowledge and the skills needed to care for young children.
This course is suitable for parents, teaching assistants and nannies or those looking to enter the childcare profession. Learners should be at least 14 years old.
You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include tasks such as designing charts or leaflets, coursework or methods such as oral questioning.
Learners will be taught in a classroom setting by experienced and knowledgeable tutors. You will learn about the growth about development of young children, play and self-development and much more.
Upon achievement of this qualification, learners can progress into various job roles such as teaching assistant, learning support assistant or special educational needs assistant in a school. This qualification allows progression on to the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualifications.
